Victorian Tri Bang board game box cover and board with pieces from the Stephen Sondheim collection

Tri Bang was played with each player being given 25 pieces of the same color with the goal to achieve three in a row. The 1888 Victorian lithographic colors are still bright although the box and board do show wear which is not surprising after 137 years. Surviving pieces have been glued to the board. The Doyle auction tag is a copy and serves to identify the game as coming from the collection of Stephen Sondheim. It was part of lot 121 sold by Doyle on November 14, 2024. It will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This is the largest shadow box display we are offering and measures 21.5" x 17.5."
